New future expat, same old story

Have always read this forum with interest, now it's my turn to consider a move to Algeria and I'm afraid I have all the normal questions, anxieties and excited expectations!! Primarily I would love to get in touch with others who are already resident and can offer me advice and hopefully friendship too! (Is there some sort of 'international wives' club??) Just would love to hear how everyone copes, what day to day life is like etc? I have a lovely Algerian family and our own apartment so am lucky but am also very independant and scared to lose my life outside the home!! I have a three year old son and am looking into an international school - any tips? Also when resident I'd be looking for an english-teaching job as am TEFL qualified and experienced, again any hints as to this kind of work? I've visited Algeria and spent some time in the country and adore it but realise it's a huge step to make a life there. Sorry to reel out the same questions but any help would really be greatly appreciated! Thanks
