Working with Algerians in Algier

Hello all,

I have working experience from Egypt already. There I learned that Egyptians really only tend to do what they are told to do. There is no such thing as individual initiative.
Is it the same in Algeria? Furthermore what about the hierarchy i.e. commanding structure in Algeria? Subserviant like in Egypt?
