Good people,I am a South African citizen who holds a South African citizen and will be marrying an Algerian citizen who holds an Algerian passport and is currently living in Algeria. After we marry, we will be applying for his visa to come back to South Africa with me. What kind of visa will this be? If I marry him in Algeria, do I lose my South African citizenship? Will he definately get the South African visa by virtue of my South African citizenship and our marriage in Algeria? How long will it take for him to aqcuire a South African visa? How much will it cost? We have already lost over R40000 trying to apply for his visitor's visa to come to South Africa. The South African embassy in Algeria is unreasonable. They interviewed him twice and rejected his visa application for a 1 month visit and refused to give him a reason. The South African consular services official literally said:"I know these Algerians, they are crooks and liars so I will not allow any of them to get into South Africa". How does an official say such xenophonic and prejudice things? Please help us.
