Hi
We are moving to Schladming next March (2011) we have a 4 year old who will be 5 in March. He is in reception at the moment. I'm really worried about sending him to Kindergarten, not because of the language as I'd love him to be bilingual but because I am worried that he will lose all the ability to do things in English, like reading and writing which he has only just begun to learn and is really enjoying. I've also heard from a friend that if the children's German is not good enough then they will get kept back a year so I'm worried that he won't be able to start school til he's 7 which I think will not be a good thing for him as he's a bright kid. Can anyone tell me if they have been in a similar situation and what the kindergartens are like and how their children are getting on?
Thanks
Amanda
