Nassau this summer

Looks like we will be starting a new adventure and moving to nassau. my husband's job is taking us there. needless to say am full of questions and am hoping to you can help. We have two young girls 3 and 5 years. Lyford Clay International school has place for eldest but not the youngest. Any thoughts about other good schools? As I won't have a work permit...how to meet people? I hear that in some areas on the island there is some traffic. Which area is this and how bad is it? Any other suggestions/recommendations? looking forward to hearing from you
