Possibly moving to the Bahamas?

I've just received a job offer from the University of the Bahamas, for either the Nassau or Freeport campus (I would have to decide). To say I'm overwhelmed trying to make a decision to go or not is understating it quite a bit. I have 4 dogs and a parrot, and would need a house with some sort of yard. The pay being offered is decent, though not excessive. Any words of wisdom as I try to figure out if this is what I want to do?
