Got a job in Bahamas starting in Feb 2018 - need advise to decide

Hello ,

I got a job offer in Baha Mar area and would like to know the following from experienced expats who live or lived there

What would be a close by area to reside in?

Estimated cost for studio apartment or 1 bedroom apartment?

Can I survive in public transportation or I must own my own?

What are the convenient public transportation aside from taxis?

Is it safe to ride a motorbike? and how much are they?

What are the popular used car brands with easy maintenance and fordable spare parts?

Is it safe to walk outside during day and night time?

How would describe the behavior of the locals towards the expats?

What are the nearest countries and estimated cost for a weekend off the Nassau?

Are there martial art clubs and how much do they cost monthly?

Please share any additional information or advise for a single active guy moving to Bahamas ?
