Hello all. Getting settled here in Nassau this past week with my goal of staying a year plus. My question is how to handle my bank account with Bank of America. During my work permitting I gave my employer direct deposit info for my account back home in Florida. I have heard from the locals there are fees associated with the transfers. Another rumor touching on an business affiliation between Bank Of America and one of the local banking institutions. Should I just open a local account? I am here on a short term permit for the time being with a long term permit being processed.
