Citizenship Question

Hello, I was born in Freeport (1969) to American parents and spent the first year of my life there. I was then brought to the US (have a citizenship paper vs birth certificate) where I remained. I am now looking at relocating to the Bahamas and curious if I could still be considered a Bahamian citizen. Thank you for any insight this community can provide!
