I need advice from people living in Dhaka if possible. The story is a sad one and I am seeking this advice in the hope that I can receive reassurance or if not, that I can prevent a tragedy.
My daughter lived in Europe with a man from Bangladesh and gave birth to his daughter. After much violence she reported him to the police. He was arrested but she withdrew the charges. He was still deported as his papers were not in order. He professed to have converted from Islam to Christianity 3 years ago. She is now flying out to be with him in Dhaka, taking her baby and a child by a previous marriage. (They are not married) He has persuaded her to do this. My question is this. Will she and the children be safe? He says he is still practising his faith and going to a Christian church whilst livijng with his Muslim family in Dhaka. This does not sound like the truth to me. I fear he is tricking her into going. He says she will be ok but surely his family will not accept her?He says he is hoping to get out of the country on a fiance visa. I would be so grateful for a reply. My daughter and the children are going as soon as the visas are ready - in a few days probably. Thank you.
