Residential lettings

I am a UK Cit. who wants to move to Bruges. I eventually want to buy a house but as I have never lived anywhere except UK I would like to rent a flat for about a year. This will let me get to know about the people and also help be choose an area best suited.
I have tried to track down letting agencies on the net but I have not had too much luck so far. I really want to rent some where before the end of March. Has anybody got any ideas.
