Belmopan, administrative capital of Belize

Belmopan is the administrative capital of Belize as Washington is of the U.S.A. or Brasilia is of Brazil.

I spent a month there in 2009 in Belmopan and expected more than what I found : no sidewalks, open sewers, some residential streets unpaved and very muddy when it rains, no zoning regulations with a one-room house sitting next to a multi-bedroom home.

No taxi service after 9 p.m.
