QRP Program Questions

Hello,
We are working on relocating to Belize in the next few months after getting all of our ducks in a row and had some specific questions about the QRP program to see if that's the way we want to go. Either I or my husband could sign up for this the way I understand it and then our whole family would be under this, is that correct. We are both of the age to qualify. That would safe us a lot of money and hassle on import duty..correct? But only one vehicle would be allowed to come in under that and the other we'd pay duty on if I'm understanding that right, as well. We'd drive and bring two.
Is it allowed at some point, even a year or two or years down the road to change that QRP status if we wanted to work? Do we just pay duty then on what we originally brought in? Has anyone here ever actually experienced that, and if so I'd love to hear about it.
Also, we might be allowed to start our own business while under the QRP program if it were able to employ local Belizeans, right?
I've read so many things and much of it is conflicting info so I wanted to ask here because you all are actually in the trenches and have been through it already. Thank you so much for taking time to help us figure this out.
