Coming to Bermuda

My husband and I are moving to Bermuda. Have checked out all sorts of sites (including Bermuda online...really great info and highly recommend)...but...I am looking for real info on recent expat experience upon arrival. We are not bringing furniture etc. but would like to bring enough clothes, toiletries, shoes, books, sheets, towels for ourselves for the year (approximately) that we will be there. Will we be taxed upon arrival for these items (eg: every bottle of shampoo, pair of socks, shorts, shoes etc)? Who do we pay this to? Must it be paid to officers at the airport? What form of payment is expected (eg do they take visa, interac etc)? Is there a maximum amount for personal items before tax must be paid? Is there a maximum amount of tax that can be charged on these items? Thanks for any help!
