Moving

Hi,

I am in the process of moving to Bermuda and I was wondering what are some recommendations regarding moving furniture? I have done some research on the forums over the past few weeks and it sounds like recommendations are a bit mixed. I recently acquired some very nice furniture and would have a hard time trying to sell them quickly. While relocation assistance is provided by the company I saw how some people recommend not bringing expensive valuables because it can get damaged due to the humidity.

On a similar note, I read that it was advised to bring all the electronics with you since they are severely marked up on the island. People coming from Europe were advised not to bring electronics as they would not be compatible but those coming from US or Canada were advised to 'bring as much as possible' especially if the company was going to cover relocation. What are people's thoughts?

Thanks!
