How and A US citizen get dual citizenship?

Oi,
I am a fireman here in AZ. I will be retiring in about 7 yrs and plan on retiring to Santa Catarina, Brazil. I understand I can get a long term retirement visa but I am not be elligable due to age (I am not 50 yet). Also, can I work a part time job in Brazil with this long term (retirement) visa??
