Dependant Visa

Hoping that someone can give me advice!

My boyfriend is moving to Brazil with his job early next year and I am hoping to join him in the summer.

We are currently experiencing some problems with obtaining a visa for myself. Although I am recognised as an official partner by the company in order to obtain a visa off the back of my boyfriends I have to meet certain criteria.

We either have to be married - not an option we want to consider at the moment!

I must be financial dependant on him and/or be able to prove that we have lived together for 5 years - we both have our own incomes/homes so I can't prove financial dependance at the moment, however if I were to move to Brazil this would of course be the case.

The other option is a recognised co-habitation certificate - not something that is common in the UK and not sure it would be recognised in Brazil....

does anyone have any advice as to what we can do to get round this issue!??

many thanks...
