Problems renting apartment

Hello everyone, I have been here in Belo Horizonte for 2 weeks now searching for apartments. Well I found some I like but I am being told I can not rent in Brazil because I do not have Brazil documents and or bank account. I work overseas 30 days on and 30days off. Instead of returning to the US on my days off I will return to Brazil. My problem now, money is running low. If I cant find apartment soon I will not be able to get until after tax return next year. What should I do can anyone help?
