Cost of living

Although I am from Brazil I have been in the US for 13 years now. If we move back we would have a monthly income of about 6K Real. With that we need to pay for housing and school for our 2 kids along with the other living expenses. I have family in Tijuca and Barra so that's where we would like to be. How realistic is our budget? Are we completely out of our minds?
