Good family living areas in Rio?

Hi,
we're moving to RJ in a few months, staying for 2 yrs with 3 small children. Could anyone give some hints as to where to live? Preferably we are looking for a calm area, house, not apartment, and decently close to one of the international schools.
I've tried look at real estate sites to get a clue but it is hard since most English ones seems to focus on tourist housing.
