I am an English guy taking the plunge, selling everything and moving to Floripa with my Brazilian fiancé.
We are looking at moving to Praia dos Ingleses (yes I get the irony) because we want to be next to the beach but also have infrastructure as we will be living there full time. I really wanted to know about the safety of the place as we have only been on holiday and know this is not a true reflection of the place.
For example is it safe to walk around the town centre, go food shopping, etc....... I know theRe are some emerging favelas but want to know if they are easy to avoid and if they are active in the town.
