Hi all, I have been thinking for some time about buying a property for my retirement in Bulgaria, have been told Plovdiv may be a good area for me as I love the countryside and rural life. I am a widow and plan to retire in about 4 years and my thought is to buy a place now that I can live in as I do it up a tad. Not looking for splendour more some land for fruit and veg and perchance a porch with a trusty rocking chair. I will try to learn the basics of the language before I move over and would like to be pretty self sufficient. Any advice would be welcome, hoping to go over this summer and tour around a bit on the search , just a bit concerned I may be taken as a target for unscrupulous agents !
