Even BEFORE america went insane and relected Bush, my husband and I were planning on moving to the Vancouver area. He will probably have no problem finding a job, But I have concerns about me. I'm an art director in an ad agency, currently making approx 90,000 US. It sounds like a lot, but living in NJ with high cost of living and being the major bread-winner, it doesn't leave much over for anything else. I would like to know if there is work for me in Vancouver? Would the salaries be comparable? I've been on www.mls.ca and houses seem moderate to slightly expensive.
Second question for all you expats who've been through the immegration process....how long did it take from filling out paperwork to being allowed to move? Also, I understand there is a medical checkout...what kind of exam, tests, etc?....(I hate doctors!!!) :) Thanks for any reply
