Tax info needed

Hi there,
I am planning to apply for Canadian PR, I am staying in US till 2014, I just want to know that if my Canada PR approves, do I need to pay tax also in Canada, I am not going to move in Canada until 2014, so let say my Canada PR approves in 2010, do I need to pay taxes from 2010 in Canada also even I am not living there (no property, car etc)
