Info re police certificates + Canadian Visa

Hi, I've a quick question regarding police certificates when applying for a Canadian Visa. Police certs are required for all applicants and from countries in which you've lived for more than six months. This is no problem from my own country but I did spend 12 months in Australia 11 years ago on a working holiday visa and I'm wondering if it's really necessary to look for a police cert form there or should I just leave it as it's so long ago?
Any advice appreciated.
