Childcare in calgary

I am a mental health nurse and my wife is a general nurse(in Scotland). We have decided we are keen to move to Calgary however are worried about threads that we have read about the lack of childcare availability as we have no family over there and currently have a 4 year old with possibly another child on the way in the near future. 2 fold question really... Is childcare readuly available or even better can 2 nurses get paid enough to get by working less hours in order to not require childcare ie opposite shifts etc? Many thanks.
