Working to Canada being us citizen

I live 50 miles close to the Canadian border, working in the us for a Canadian company (Quebec) located in New York.
My boss want me to come to Montreal as a district manager for the same company but across the border.
I can stay the week and be back in NY the week end, but if I want legalize the situation I would like to know what would be my options here.
Any help is truly appreciated.
