Hi.
Long time reader, first (real) post.
Long story short is that I married a Chilean woman and have been here for about 8 years working in education (not so much english, more research).
My wife's family has 2 schools, and since we are both academics / educators we have been flirting with the idea for a long time.
We will create a private "Jardin Infantil" in Temuco, Chile based on quality, multi-linguism, sustainability and excellece.
The idea stems from a group of progressive, international and national like-minded parents who value quality education.
As my wife is from Chile (IX region, specifically), and we have been in academics for several years, we are aware of the legality and logistics of the endeavor. Being a 100% private school, we will not receive government funding, and therefore are bound to regulations regarding sanitary and infrastructure.
Given that we plan on making a private, quality institution, clearly we are not planning on cutting corners. In fact we hope to raise the bar, which we certainly will.
English and multi-culturalism will be central objectives, and therefore we want you to participate.
This is a solid offer for partnership, volunteers or paid teachers. It is not an "idea" it is a project in development phase, everything legal by Chilean standards. I am willing to provide our personal information for serious inquiries. (not willing to post ID here, through email, no problem). We can Skype or I can call you.
