Moving to Chile within the near future

Hello
My wife and I and our 2 young boys, 2 year old and 4 month old will be moving to Chile for many good reasons. I am originally from South Africa, I speak very little spanish. I am a licensed electrician and will be visiting in December before our family decides to move. Anybody with advice for work and or local spots where expats hang out to make some connections?
