Chile Immigration/Entry

Good day everyone,

Our situation is a little different than most. I'm a U.S. citizen and my wife is a Filipino citizen with a 10-year U.S. Permanent Residency. We are planning to move to Chile at the end of the year. Our financial situation is good and we have two rental properties to show income. I'm trying to figure out what all is necessary to relocate. From my understanding my wife requires a Visa no matter what, whereas, I do not. In either situation it seems like we would be required to have round-trip airline tickets. This obviously wouldn't make sense if we're moving though. The other dilemma is that the only Philippines-Chile Embassy is back in Philippines. So applying for the Visa is going to be quite complicated. How can we enter Chile with one-way airline tickets for the purpose of relocating? Can we show up as tourists and do any of this process there? Is a U.S. Permanent Resident allowed the same access as a U.S. citizen?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
