Is there a checklist anywhere of all the papers, translations, notarizations, and authentications (apostilles) that one needs to bring if one intends to apply for residency from inside Chile? I read on another forum that the process is easier if you apply from inside Chile, I just want to be sure I bring all of the right papers, and have all of the necessary stamps and authentications, so I don't need to make an extra trip. I got my originals apostilled, just to be safe. I know I need to get certified translations, but do the certified translations also need to be apostilled (authenticated)? Or do the certified translations only need to be notarized? How can I find out for sure?
My current list of apostilled forms awaiting certified translation is:
Birth certificate
University transcript
FBI background check
Proof of income statements
Ministry Articles of Incorporation
Ministry Certificate of Good Standing
I also plan to bring my bank statements.
Am I missing anything? Or is there anything I should know, or be aware of? It would be a shame to have to make an extra trip.
