americans living in quingdao

I am going to be in QuingDao China for three weeks interviewing for a job. I will be staying at a hotel in Quingdao. The company is located one hour north of the city. If I like the opportunity I may accept full time employment and bring my family over from the states.
What about schools, living conditions, people, health care issues if I get sick. Quality of life?
My other concerns are what to bring with me. I'm traveling the whole month of June.
Any comments on all issues relating to QuingDao would be appreciated
