My daughter has recently moved to China as a foreign student and will be there for a year. She has opened a bank account with ICBC Bank. However, I have tried sending her money via transferwise and xoom but I am being told that I can only send money to bank accounts owned by Chinese residents.
She has called her bank and they said since she is foreign national, she isn't allowed to receive money in her account.
Has anyone sent or received money in Chinese bank account held by foreign national? Any suggestion as to how I can send money to her bank account?
