Advice and Business Oppurtinities

Hi everyone!
About me: 33 years old, UK passport, live in NY, 7+ years IT Project Manager in Banking (3 in NY,4+ in London), English, German, Greek, some Portuguese and doing intensive Spanish lessons, got aprox $100.000, tried a few startups before and my passions are: food, people (especially helping), animals, technology, music, travel. I am very good at being organized (Project Manager at work and personal life), analytical/creative, detailed and very sociable/easy to connect with people.

Why Colombia?: I travelled to 40+ countries and I just like “being there”, I like the family-oriented society and the energy of the people there and I am just following my gut feeling.

What have I done about it?: Tons of research. Visited the consulate in NY. Spoke to many Colombian friends. Applied to all the “multinational” companies/jobs in Bogota (no luck).

What am I looking for?: Any advice and/or business partnership of any form along with Visa advise, that can provide aprox $5-7 million pesos/month (yes I know this is high) anywhere in Colombia (ideally Bogota). My options are:
- Ask everyone I know in Colombia for a job (doing it). I know the owner of Colombina.com multinational in Cali as well.
- Post in forums, linkedin, any site I can find asking for advice/partnership (doing it)
- Apply to NGOs as it matches my passions (I want a family, which means $$$ and NGO pay is not good)
- Become an IT consultant in Colombia aiming to get private/government contracts (I got some gov contacts)
- Become an organizational expert (any area) in Colombia
- Work remotely in IT for anyone/anywhere and live in Colombia (hard as I wont have a visa and hard to find a 100% remote IT job) but possible through sites like odesk.com
- Importing/exporting: Greek Art, Greek food/olive oil/baklava (got many contacts, even for products from Mykonos which sell anywhere), clothes, shoes, coffee, air/water filters, electric cars(got contacts), etc
- Change my job in the US (hard as my US visa locks me in my current job) and then ask for them to transfer me to Colombia (hard to guarantee and takes a lot of time)
- Find an established internet business abroad and start it in LATAM (working on it)
- Got $100k so maybe open a Greek (or any other cuisine that has demand e.g. French, organic food or even a franchise) related food business. I got restaurant contacts in Bogota and Medellin.
- Last option: quit my job in NY, move to Colombia, burn some money and figure it out.

Appreciate your advice, and of course, any business partnerships.
I am determined.

Best Regards,
Chris
