Moving in May/early June to teach English

Hi all, I have decided to move somewhere in Colombia to teach english for around 6 months after I graduate College. I am pretty flexible still on where but my choices would be in the Pereira-Armenia region, Medellin, Santa Marta, or Barranquilla. I wanted to talk about the difficulty I've had finding jobs, so far I have been e-mailing schools I can find on google maps as well as jooble.com and opcionempleo.com. I haven't gotten any serious inquiries back yet and am unsure why. I don't have experience teaching but from what I have heard its easy for gringos to find english teaching work regardless of that. Perhaps it is just a matter of being easier to find work once you're actually there in person, which is why i found a reasonably priced volunteer program to do for a couple of weeks in Bogota while I get settled in. I should have enough saved up to live there for a long time already its just that I'd much rather have a job and have a purpose while I'm over there instead of just showing up there by myself with nothing really planned. Which brings me to another topic, I have nobody who is able to travel with me right now so if anyone is interested in the aforementioned cities above, please feel free to contact me and maybe we can share rent and make our trips cheaper for ourselves! Hope to here from some different people soon. Thanks for reading -Alec-
