Popular Investment Banks in Colombia

Profesionales de Bolsa, Alianza, and Global Securities. Global securities is rumored to have some internal problems but i could not confirm this.

We assist many foreigners opening accounts for the first time in Colombia as banks are notoriously difficult for newcomers. Bancolombia in certain branches has become easier to work with. However one should never go bank to bank for large wire transfers. An intermediary is important to use as you will save thousands of dollars for every 100k you move.
Even for 5k you will notice savings of hundreds of dollars potentially.

Thats why i recommend investment banks such as profesionales en la bolsa. The idea here is that they make some money on the transfer but not as much as a normal bank, because their primary business is as an investment bank they are more adapt to move money closer to market rates for international customers. Investing with them is not a requirement. They know that some people will eventually invest with them after doing a wire, so its good business for them.
