Residency Application

Hi all,

I had a couple of queries.

1) In the residency application it says one may be asked to provide proof of social security contribution. I have read elsewhere that if you earn below minimum wage and are affiliated with SISBEN, then you are exempt from needing to pay social security. When we have asked what kind of documentation may be required to upload for this, we were told that it was at our discretion (which is not helpful at all). So my question is: We were thinking we'd upload the email/certificate (whatever it is that shows the grade we were given by SISBEN). Does that sound reasonable, or does anyone have any advice on this?

2) The second question we had was how immigration may require further proof of the veracity of the work carried out over the last 2 years of being on a Mercusor visa (my wife is Argentinian - I am on a beneficiary visa). I don't know if others here have applied for a residency visa from time accumulated, but if so, and if further documentation was required, we were curious as to what documentation that was.

Finally, what are people's experience in terms of time-frame from submitting the residency visa application and having it authorized and then issued?
