In another thread I mentioned that something was different in Colombia than my home country. I thought it might be interesting to list and discuss some of them here. Here are a few.
Eggs; the eggs here are not refrigerated. I actually like that. In the USA they are thoroughly washed removing the cuticle and thus the need for refrigeration. I notice the eggs here have a more orange yolk as verses a more yellow yolk in the USA. I don't notice a difference in taste of either.'
Showers and hot water. This is one area where I am definitely a spoiled gringo. I do prefer a scalding hot shower with plenty of pressure and flow...lol. Last trip to Santa Rosa de Cabal and staying with relative with no hot water; the second day I considered long and hard whether I really needed a shower the second day there...lol.
What are your favorite differences?
