Costa Rica Experiences

Hi,

Hope this isn't breaking some forum law, or perceived as spam (it's not) but it's easier because I've written about our CR experience on my blog here:

We rented car and GPS from Adobe who delivered our car to the Adventure Inn.

The Adventure Inn is a great starting point. Free taxi from airport, decent restaurant and pool. Not luxury, but it is a very good value for the money.

A Jimny is a very tiny car - only room for 2 adults and 2 suitcases and 2 carry ons. It is a very rough rider. Ours was 4WD and we did need it.

If you plan to visit any fincas you should have 4WD manual transmission.

We rented our phones from cellphonecr.com. Again, delivered to us at the Adventure Inn.

I heartily recommend Airbnb.com to find lodging.

We covered pretty thoroughly the area from Siquirres to Poas to Cuidad Colon and the Central Valley.

Since we were looking for a retirement place, we avoided the tourist areas.

PM me if you would like more info.
