Getting Pain Medicine in Costa Rica

Hey there,
I've recently moved to San Jose Costa Rica and have re-engaged my sciatic nerve issue this past week. It has been an issue for the last 12 years of my life on and off. I've been prescribed everything under the sun and unfortunately have a high tolerance to pain relief and opiates. For the last 3 years I've been prescribed 180mg of RoxiCodone a day, but for the last 4 months have taken none due to exercising and getting my back to heal from my last onset of sciatica. Well, it has re engaged and I've been to several pharmacy's around San Pedro, Guadalupe and Curridabat looking for a pharmacy that has a doctor that has the approval to write the "Green Receipts" or prescriptions, but they say I need to find a doctor that can write them. I've been to Clinica Catholica, and because I'm only 30 years old they argued and tried convincing me I need tramadol, or voltaran, or oxyforte, all of which I've tried over the years and all of which do nothing for this extreme pain. Unfortunatnly, before I left the states, I didn't have a copy of my medical record made to bring with me to prove these things, and to have my doctor get them to me would require me flying back and getting them.

Does anyone have any experience with problems similar to this? Might anyone have a reference to a Doctor that might consider writing me a prescription? Thank you for any advice or information.
J.
