So here we are at Ethans birthday party. It also happens to be my Ticas birthday as well. The family and friends have arrived and blowing up at a hundred balloons. They large yard has been set up so everyone can sit on logs. If it were at night, there would be a nice big fire going. Bringing out the drinks ,the clan got together with a very long rope and started to jump rope. Two spinners and everyone taking turns jumping. Then three spinners and doubles juming. This went on for over an hour then they went the Limbo using the rope.More cheating and more laughter. The next was the sack race.If C.R. has anything ,they have sacks. This became a little more aggressive but more laughter.
Even at only being two,Ethan new what a Pinata was and he was ready. All the kids got a chance to swing the club but no candy, yet. So the pinata was cut a little and the kids kept swinging. Finally they all dove to the center when the candy fell.More shoving, more laughter.
Now the cake came out and complianos feliz was sung.
Their menu was hotdogs with shaved cabbage and their special sauce. After all that jumping ,they tasted great.
In C.R. there is plenty of room for kids and dogs to run.
Their lives are simple but this does not detract from having fun.Cell phones were used to take fotos but the group stayed together and played together.
Next will be the report on My Ticas birthday party that night if you want to read about it. I would like to bring to light the culture of the Ticos and how they live and have lived for hundreds of years.
