Liberia Hospital Treatment

I cannot speak for any one else's treatment in Liberia hospital - only my husband's. S L O W

One time had appt confirmed the night before - when he arrived, they said "Go home. No beds." Spent about $55 in taxi fees for nothing and in extreme pain.

Then he had to prepare for CAT scan, he had to drink dye every 20 min. for 3 hours. Had to stand the entire time as he cannot sit, No bed to lay down.

The first doctor that treated him said for him not to worry, that they would take care of him. He could not ever be reached. Learned later he was out of the country, but we were never advised

Changed appt from Thurs to Sat this week at last minute. Was to arrive Fri. at 2pm to meet doctor at emergency admissions and spend the night so ambulance could leave at 5am in morning for hospital in SJ for MRI. She arrived 2 hours late, and he is unable to sit due to cancerous tumor on hip and in pain. He had to lie down on hard chairs with no pillow until she came.

Then after spending the night, ambulance did not come at 5am but 8am. SO... he had spent miserable night in hospital needlessly, and could have just come in morning.

The first time he was in hospital for day and a half. He was told he would be there for 4 days to do all tests. After a day 1/2 told to go home as had no beds. He had to ask for water, that they doled out in tiny cup.

Just got done with MRI in SJ hospital, and was not allowed to eat for several hours. Put him in ambulance after test for 4+ hour ride without offering him anything to eat. Good thing I insisted he take a sandwich yesterday which was a day and 1/2 old. He was starving and weak.
