Affordable and safe room to rent

Hi everyone,
I am planning to visit Costa Rica for the first time in June from Canada for almost two weeks. I am looking for a safe, clean and affordable room to rent in Puerto Viejos the Caribbean side. I am a mature female, l don't drink alcohol, l don't smoke, and l don't use any substance. I would like to meet a few good people to visit the country with. I am looking forward to hearing from anyone with some great suggestions.
