I have worked in France and Italy for 4 years doing season for a uk outdoor activities company where I am a hotel manager I have decided to stop this and move to Denmark to be with my girlfriend as you would expect I am nervous about finding a job a I mainly have career achievements working my way up a company ladder as appose to academic so I dont have the luxury of relocating with a job.
This is my train of thought would love advise on where to go or solutions
Is it possible to go on to some kind of state benefit whilst I learn to speak Danish thus making it easer to find work if so dose any one know the procedure as from what I can tell its not as easy as maybe the English system ?
(please dont think im just moving to another country to milk the benefit system iv never claimed before I just think this might be a way to find my feet without worring about going in to debt paying the rent !!)
I want to find work as soon as possible as by the sound of it this is the best way to learn Danish but I suppose the catch 22 is you need to have basic conversation to find a job??
I have some CDs but unfortunately it dose not seem to stick so easy so if there is any advice on learning or centres with small classes as im not to sure ill prosper in a large group or if there is any private one on one that any one can give me advise.
Im moving to aaurus in September where we have finally managed to find some accommodation (not an easy fete )
Any advise on the above or any other tips would be great if any one is in a simmilar possition or know about the above
Many thanks.
