Should we be applying now?

My husband has been applying for jobs in Denmark and is being considered for 2 of the jobs at the moment but he hasn't told them that he is still waiting on receiving his renewed Romanian passport. We know he will be getting the passport but it will take possibly all the way until the end of September to get it.

Does it make sense to apply now and if they really want him they will wait or should we wait until he has his passport?
