Americans moving to Esbjerg

My husband is an engineer looking for jobs in Copenhagen (ideally). He has found seval companies who are interested to talk with him, but they are all in Esbjerg.

I have a degree in mass communication, with a specialization in advertising. I have been in advertising for the past 10 years, working in media planning.

The reason we are interested in Denmark is because I have family in Copenhagen.

My husband and I do not speak Danish, but plan to take courses if/when we move. Both of us are American citizens. He has a graduate degree from Austria with an employment experience here in US, and I have a BA from a US school and US job experience.

While it looks like it won't be too hard for him to find a job in Denmark (and residence/work permit) because he is on the "positiv" list, every piece of information I have read indicates it will be a struggle for me. I am 34, don't speak Danish, and my job experience is pretty specific. There are media agencies in Copenhagen, but not a lot of job openings, and I doubt there are any in Esbjerg. Furthermore, my occupation is not on a "positiv list".

I was wondering if someone can offer some advice. If my husband gets a job and I get a residence permit to go with him, what are my chances of finding a job? How long does it typically take? Should I consider other carreer paths or further education when I get there? Would anyone give me a job in another field even though I don't have experience but am willing to change my carreer? Can a couple with no children live off of 1 salary? What is a minimum annual salary for him under which we shouldn't consider moving because we wouldn't be able to make a living? Would our healthcare be covered?

I'd appreciate any advice you can give me. Thanks!
