Buying a house in Denmark

Hi All

My husband and I are thinking about buying a house in Denmark. We have bought homes before in our home country, but imagine the procedures and policies and quite different.

Are there any of you out there that have recently bought a home here and know the procedures and funny things we should know about.

A few questions that come to mind:
1. What is the normal length of time it takes for the contract to settle? 30 days? or longer?

2. Are there commissions paid to the real estate agent by the buyer?

3. Is there a service for getting building inspections done?

4. How much deposit is usually required? I presume this is paid to the agent when you sign the contract.

5. How does this 80%, 20% split of the mortgage work? More information about this would be great.

Thanks in advance for your help.
