Migrated to Australia want to return to denmark

My parents migrated to Australia in 1957. I became an Australian citizen when my parents did, I had no say in it. I never liked it in Australia but had to stay because of family. I want my danish citizenship back and I want to retire to Denmark with my husband who is half English half Norwegian. I am a well known author photographer,I speak fluent Danish. We have more than enough money to support ourselves and buy a house ect. I have heard though that I can get my citizenship back but it will take four years for my husband to be allowed to live there, is this true? We are in our sixties and cannot wait this long. Can somebody please give me some accurate information on this?
