Looking for advice on moving to the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica.

1- looking for a nice small town, with stores and necessities, reasonable rents on an apartment or house within walking distance to the beach. 2- Are there places with decent medical care on the eastern coast ?, and do I arrange for a healthcare plan before I arrive ? 3- the best way to fly into the country and make my way to the east coast, and where i will stay. 4- I read to bring everything cotton- pants shirts socks, anything else important ? 6- I read that mail takes a long time, is it best to set everything up online for bill paying and communication ? 7- I am just curious, is every meal beans and rice ?, or are there meats and poultry available at the local markets ?

I could go on all day, but I am just starting and don't want to get too carried away, I know I will have to take baby steps to the bus : )
