Hi everyone. Thanks for the info. so many of you share with people like me who are considering a visit and potential move to Ecuador. I've been following the forum pretty closely the last couple of months as we are arriving in Ecuador in one week.
We currently live in Mexico and I have found it wise to carry a small hand-held "zapper" for personal protection. It looks like a cell phone but carries significant voltage capability. After reading some postings about "taxi/hi-jackings" and personal assault, I am thinking it would be a good idea to bring this along with me.
Does anyone know if it is permitted entry into Ecuador? I have travelled to and from the US with it in my checked suitcase in the past.
